These will be charged as a fee of £45.00 per each hour. After taking some time to look around the garden the designer will have some ideas of how it might be possible to achieve a new look to your garden. During this time the client will have an opportunity to discuss whatever requirements they might have. The designer will show a full portfolio of inspirational recent works, also some written appraisals from delighted clients. Not all gardens are intended to look alike and each design is treated on an entirely individual basis. The time to achieve a design for each and every garden will therefore be determined by many factors including the space and size of the area to be redesigned and the complexity of design and requirements for the client. Nearly all of the best designs have been considered very carefully and selected from many ideas, many of which are simply pure geometry. Should the designer receive a commission after a consultation has been made the full consultation fee paid may reduce the cost of the design fees. Border Designs and Planting Details/Plans will be charged in this manner: £ 45.00 per each hour. |

These very often cannot be charged on an hourly basis - the outcome would be astronomical! As a general rule the cost is determined upon the size of the area involved. Full Design Fees are priced from £580.00. An advance payment is requested to secure the design commission - 25% of the total estimated Design Fee - if an initial Design Consultation has been paid for this may reduce the overall total. An analysis of the site is taken at the time of survey/measurements and a detailed enquiry is taken from the client to ascertain the precise concept which is required. After a survey plan and concepts (idea sketches) are presented to the client, a second stage payment of 25% of the agreed fee is requested to be paid to the designer. The client will select their chosen concept to be drafted as a Masterplan (or layout plan) of the new garden design and the designer will produce all the necessary plans needed to complete the garden. Upon completion of the design work the final payment will then be requested from the designer; 50% of the agreed total Design Fees. Contractors to landscape the garden to the design plans can be recommended at this stage. Partial garden designs are possible: complete or partial design packages can be accommodated. If the client requires – selection of appropriate accredited landscapers by tender to achieve the new garden in three dimensions, the designer will provide a Landscaper's Pack - Tender Documentation.
